Who are we?

Community Locker was created in 2021 by two mums who saw first hand the pressure that school costs place on families. What started as a simple idea, to help a few local families, has grown into a lifeline for hundreds across Bolton.

We are a Christian charity, seeking to show the love of Christ in practical ways, supporting families with school uniforms, essential items and everyday basics when they need it most. We work closely with local agencies, schools and churches to reach those facing the greatest challenges, making sure everything we do is rooted in kindness, hope and compassion.

As the need has grown, so has the heart behind it. Community Locker has expanded to offer free community dance classes and sewing sessions, creating welcoming spaces where people can come together, learn new skills, build confidence and build friendships.

At the heart of Community Locker is a simple belief: when we come together, love our neighbour and serve one another, we can ease the burden and bring real hope to our community.

There is a table with various items, including books, water bottles, and bags, and a display board behind with photos and messages about supporting children. The window behind has colorful decorations and the word 'PEACE' spelled out in large, yellow letters.
